I have driven a couple G37s and it doesn't feel as fast as my G35 around town. Not to mention the steering felt slower in the 37 than the 35. Maybe it was b/c the first one I drove was a super early production version...? Not sure but I was unimpressed. Had I not been driving a 35 for 6 months I would have fallen in love, but that just wasn't the case. To each their own...

I had my 07S at the dealer yesterday and looked at serveral new coupes. I dont want to offend G37 owners, but the coupe does nothing for me. The lines on the sedan are stunning. The coupe is just there my .02

the lady that parks next to me in my garages has the new g37. It's a beautiful car and is an improvement on the regular g in every way. I second guessed my decision to go back to school when I saw it in person. freaking great car

Super slow steering? I test drove a G37 while getting my oil changed, the steering felt leaps and bounds better at low speeds than in my G35. Extremely light and responsive. That, however, was the only worthwhile difference between the two IMO.

I never buy the first year of a new body style... there are usually bugs uncovered that are taken care of by the time the next years are released.. Just keep what you got and enjoy it.

You have more room and your car is just as fast and argueably more desireable to the masses.
Any reason in particular you decided to trade in your Camry. That's a major (albeit expected) hit to take.

There's a reason Infiniti only put the 3.7 into the Coupe...those 100 or so lbs. do make a difference.

As for the numbers being a 6M/T Sedan vs. a 5A/T Coupe, I'd like to see a 6M/T Sedan vs. a 6M/T Coupe and a 5A/T Sedan vs. a 5A/T Coupe. IIRC the 5A/Ts in the V36s have shorter 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears than the 6M/T which really narrows the gap between the 6M/T and the 5A/T. Couple that with the fact that the 6M/T is actually heavier than the 5A/T and the gap gets even smaller.
Agreed on all counts except the 6MT 5AT gearing. Only 1st and 2nd are marginally shorter on the 5AT. 3rd is 6% shorter on the 6MT and 4th is 21% shorter.

I see about 50/50 men/woman in G Coupes here in Austin. I also notice about 80% automatics across both genders, surprisingly I see just as many 6MT's driven by women as men. Yay for women driving enthusiasts!

As for the G37 looking "retarded" from the front, that's obviously subjective. If you are interested in thinking your car is just as good or better as the new replacement, you're more likely to dislike it. But, that aside, you may ACTUALLY dislike it.... that's fine, that's why there are so many cars on the market and not just one coupe and one sedan.

For me, I always hated my G35's front end but loved the back-end so I tolerated the cheap looking (IMO) front. With the G37, I really like the front and tolerate the rear. Funny how that works. I'd be seriously in love if Infiniti would have made me love both ends but unless I'm designing the car myself that's unlikely. In any case, overall the G37 is a hands-down MUCH better car than my old 06 Coupe for me, so I guess I'm in Infiniti's target group and some people are not.
