New 2008 G35... and a rust spot (car is three weeks old)

I am curious what you guys think. Is this easy to fix or does it require repainting the entire panel? It is located just in front of the back left tail light on the back left side quarter panel.

The spot is about the size of the tip of a ball point pen maybe (possibly slightly small) but in my mind could grow.

See attached picture:

Do you know if it would require repainting the entire panel to fix something like this?

I am worried about them matching paint color as well as reseating the body panel perfectly if they have to repaint/replace the panel. I read online too about "raildust"... Maybe it is that and can be clay bar'd off...

i bet thats all it is and will come off. if you run your fingernail over it, does it feel like a bump or does it feel like the paint is actually missing?

It is raised above the paint very slightly. If you look at an angle it is pushing up (no chipped paint). You can also feel it if you run your finger nail across it (smooth and then your nail will catch on it). The texture is very course (like rust).

Pick up a clay bar and see if that will take it off. If that won't then you need to take it to a detailer to fix. It onyl takes a couple days for rust to form so don't be to suprised. If the paint chips on any car and exposes the metal under neither it IS going to rust.
