Thieves looking for Valet key?!

Last night, my driver's side door lock (intelligent key) was jacked up and they searched the entire car. I think they were looking for the Valet key or something. They stole the first aid kit but nothing else... Anyone have the same experience? What's up with this? Any clue how much it would be to get it repaired?

Yes, they sometimes look for a spare key that users leave in their owner's manual bag. Don't do it! Congratulations on not getting your car taken.

Good luck on the repair, I don't know an estimated price for you though.

Oh, and think about getting a passenger side escutcheon for the driver side. It will cover the keyhole and make it just a little bit less tempting to thieves.
