How do you take off the sirius antenea?

I've searched for a DIY or how to and just can't find it. For those who have done this, how'd you do it? Thanks.

You can use fishing string. Use it to cut the tape holding it on then use acrosol to remove the residue.

I took mine off. It is a magnet with adhesive on it to boot. I let my car sit in the sun for a few hours to get it hot, and I took a thin card (like a fake credit card you get in the junk mail) to start peeling off a side. It was not easy to get off, and there was some glue that I had to take off with Goo Gone. I did get a few scratches from where the magnet was stuck, but I put a different antenna over it, so no harm no foul.

If you happened to replace your antenna with a sharkfin one, where did you get it?

There is no information in the 04 coupe AV manual about the sirius/xm antenna.

for an 06 sedan (shark fin) the service manual says to remove the headliner then remove a bolt (inside the car), then disconnect the connector and remove the antenna (bolt torque: 6.0Nm, 53 in-lb).

The 06 sedans have paint matched antennas. I am sure it would be possible to get them for the older coupes also...
