M3 spoils me
After having a ride in my friend E46 M3, then going back to my car, it feels a little too ponderous and loose. The M3 feels a lot more button down and the whole thing just tightens up around corner.
Is there anything I can do to make the G feels better?
Will a set of 275 tires and good coilovers help?

get a coupe
j/k....you can try the GT-Spec chassis reinforcement products. PM Da_mayor.
Coilovers or adjustable shocks will help, as well as a front/rear strut bar.
some wider wheels and tires also make a huge difference...you want to feel buttoned down? get yourself some wider aftermarket 18 inch wheels and get a set of Falken Azenis tires. I guarantee you will stick to the road like glue.

Biggest bang for the buck... Sway bars.
If you dont' have the "sport" supension, yes, new shocks, springs, or coil overs would be a big help. They would help even WITH the sport stuff, but the change wouldn't be as noticable.

Please never try to compare anything from your friends m3 to a g35 (coupe or sedan) if you follow that rule you will be fine. Totally different car, totally different price range and totally different tax bracket of owners
yea sways and coilovers will do you good Damn i want an M3 but shiet there still to much even for used!

Get a coupe as everyone else has stated but you can also opt to spend some $$$ on a suspension and components such as A-Arms, camber/toe kits, chasis braces, anti roll/sway bars all around.

get some sways - full stiff on rear med./stiff on front
get some wider tires - 275
Get the mid-chasis frame thingy from GT spec
and NRG or similar front upper strut bar
Post back when everything is on and tell me if you still think the m3 handles better....

The greatest flaw of the sedan is the taller body and relatively narrow track. Push the wheels out a bit with some bigger rubber, drop it on coilovers and it'll be better. Still can't match the feel of what essentially started as a G competitor and then added 20k profit margin on top.
I picked the my coupe over the M3 over 2 years ago and price wasn't the factor. All you need are some shocks & springs or coilovers if budget allows it. Sway bars and big fat tires will also help a lot. I have also driven the Sedan and the Coupe G35's and honestly there's a very notable difference in handling.
