Under hood alarm sirens with a battery back up with a pin switch under the hood and trunk monkey.

On the subject of the "shock" idea and the old "razor blades behind the stereo" routine, I think that would be a liability risk you wouldn't want to take. Say some little kid walking down the street leans against your car to scrape something off the bottom of his shoe - BAM, liability suit.

Think of this as analogous to house thieves who get injured and then (sadly) successfully sue the homeowner.

no man... I think it sucks!!! I've mentioned wiring voltage to the car in the past - problem is liability... someone that has no intention on stealing your car will touch it, get shocked/electrocuted then sue. It's a lovely idea, but not practical... as sh!ty as having the headlights stolen is (and I truly am sorry it happened) - the truck monkey would be ideal! I think any jack@ss that steals a car or items from a car deserves to get knocked out.

As far a sitting with a gun - again, not practical, and the a-hole would sue and win... who’s gonna sue a monkey from beating the crap out of them while they steal a car?

Unfortunately there is no solid way to deter... maybe park head first against a wall or something? But then they will steal your truck emblem (like they did mine).

Thanks for your help- No Go!

So I got the car back friday, last sunday the alarm went off 4 times. Monday i slept on the couch, locked and loaded. The alarm went off at 9pm, 1am, 4am and 5:30am. Each time I woke, went to the window within 20 seconds and saw my car looking good under the st. light. No visible damage. I went out to go to work @ 7am, and the bumper was cracked again, the headlight loose.

The MOTHER****ER doesn't even take the goddamn light!- for the 2nd time! At least if they took it, maybe they'd be done! Instead they just **** up the bumper, but usually the hood & fender too. I'm left holding my dick and shelling out cash!

I appreciate the responses, but the only solution now is to sell the car and downgrade. I can't keep paying deductibles, waiting on edge etc... the trunk Monkey made my girl laugh- but it's not available in the under the hood model.

I live in Dorchester. My town is mostly good, but there are some cheap mother****ers around evidently. Probably upgrading their '92 acuras.

Anyways, thanks for the help- Much appreciated! I don't know if the next car I buy will have an online forum for it haha..

I'll have to start 1988chryslercelebrity.com haha

Get a two-way alarm that pages you. Rig a sensor on your alarm directly to your lights. Set your alarm to silent, so only you know when it goes off. When it does, take a look outside. Get a description of the thief and call 911. Hopefully the cops are quick.

Car cover with lock? It'll buy you some time.

Dude that sucks. I recommend the shoe-lace method. Get a 9mm, zip tie that shlt in the middle of the grill somewhere and make sure its pointed where a head would be when he's trying to pull on the headlight. Tie a shoe lace to one end of the headlight and then route it to the trigger. Make sure you loop it right so that when they pull on the headlight, the triggers is pulled back.

Then, when the theives pull on the headlight to take if off. BANG to your head motherfker...

Not to be funny, but it sounds like someone's got a little salt in their blood towards you. Make you sure handle that before it gets crazier.

Maybe I mispoke..The kind of sensor I was talking about was rigged to an alarm. Not the voltage shock kind

As for the op did you sleep with someone's girl? j/k but someone's got some ***** if they just keep coming after you. Downgrading is a possiblity. My friend had to do that with his 02 maxima.

What you could try is to call the Boston PD and let them know some guy has been ripping out your headlights. Maybe they'll pay a little more attention to your car.

If that doesn't work then Hood Monkey FTW

Wow. That takes a very brazen criminal to steal your headlights. I hope you figure out a way to stop it in the future.
