Keep Getting Headlights Stolen-HELP

I've had my 05 g35x for under a year, and its been in the shop waaay too much. I've had my headlights stolen twice from my street. First time, i thought the factory alarm would be good to ward people off, but it only responds if the door is opened... great
Second time, I'm hoping my new aftermarket alarm will ward off the thief... It does, but not before he peels back my bumper, fender and hood to get at the light, which is then broken.

Last week I FINALLY get the car back, after all sorts of other pain in the *** ****. Last night, my alarm goes off 3x. 11pm, 2am and 4am. Everytime I jump up, ready for action- but I can't see a soul out the window and the car is fine.

I'm wondering if anybody has ever heard of successfully hooking up a car battery (etc..) to deter theft and shock people who touch the car.. I've heard of people putting razor blades behind their stereo's to get back at any deck thieves... I'd also be up for hearing other options too, because between losing sleep, annoying my whole neighborhood and insurance deductibles, I'm about done with this problem.

Thanks-sezeboston

Don't think you can shock someone with DC current from a battery but not sure about that.
These scumbags would probably get a judge to find you guilty if you injured one of them.
What about setting up a camera to catch them in the act?
I could not sleep at night if my G had not been tucked into my garage. It has never spent one night outside alone in the dark.

yeah, i would definitely set up a camera (a Sony Nighshot cam would work great) pointing toward the windshield but kind of covered up and keep a much closer eye on the vehicle. i feel for you getting them stolen multiple times. i'm sure those arent' cheap. good luck catching those hooligans.

Nightly Theft.......

Try sleeping in your car with a shot gun......wouldn't that supprise those
butt heads. Or you could start putting your G in the garage at night!

Being in law enforcement for 14 years, let's hope this is not a trend. Parts are stolen by high reward/low risk/accesibility factors--i.e. radios in the 80s, civic air bags in the 90s and maxima headlamps in the 2000s.
Of course the body shops and replacement part shop owners TELL these crackheads what parts get the most returns. Hopefully, Nissan learned thier lesson with the Maxima and the headlights are useless once removed and/or have serial numbers attatched.

You guys are making jokes. I hope it never happens to you. and everyone doesn't have a garage I'm sure Boston is short on space just like ny. Sorry about your losses. You should see if you can get a shock sensor just for the headlights. There should be a way to put one on both

you definetly need to upgrade the stock "alarm" its not the best alarm. You should get a car cover like that commercial, it had a crappy beat up car printed on it to hide the nice car underneath. Hmm what car out there that thieves wont steal from. ALL THIEVES SHOULD BE SHOT ON THE SPOT.
