G37 proper break in procedure?
G37 proper break in procedure?
Just last night I was on my way home in my beautiful 03 g35 athens blue sedan w/ 19' giovannas enjoying life when a (obviously mentally disturbed) woman in a 500 dollar car traveling the opposite direction decided to cut across three lanes of traffic cutting off other drivers and hitting me head on... I was planning on selling my car soon to make way for the new G37 6mt sport coupe with the premium package... This incident put my search on fast forward so i will hopefully be taking delivery of my g37 before march
... Does anyone know the proper break in procedure/ break in guidelines for this car? Any feedback would be much appreciated thanks.
Best advice - read the manual that comes with the car about the break-in. Nobody knows your car better than the manufacturer, and it's in Nissan's interest to make sure it's broken in properly.
big debate on this subject with people saying do it the old fasion way of staying under 4000 rpm until like 1000 miles, some people say it's ok to go at it because new engines is built with tighter tolerances and/or broken in at the factory. My bro used to sell for Lexus and says, Lexus engines do not need to be broken in.
