extended warranty for 1800

The dealership offered me an extended warranty on an 05 G35 sedan, for $1800. The car has 40,000 miles already. is that worth it, or just forego the warranty and chance it? i hate to waste money I appreciate the input.

I think the general feeling on G35driver is to pass on the warranty as people say that it just isnt worth it. I, for one, opted to get the warranty. I negotiated it down to $1500 for 100k mi extended warranty though (when I purchased my G37 2 weeks ago). It just gives me piece of mind that if something does go wrong I'm covered. To each his own.

i hear ya. I think i am going to pass on it. Its against my better judgement, but as they say, live and learn. We boght one for a lincoln, and sold it before it was used up, so i can at least get my money back on that one, and in my opinion it was a waste, but the piece of mind is nice to have. I need all the pieces i can get.

I payed 2200 for mine. 4 year 48000 miles. Its the best one they offer covers everything but neglect. It sucks to trow down that much money if you dont need it but it was worth with my last car.

If you buy it, you won't use it. If you don't buy it, you'll need it... I havent kept a car long enough to have the need for one yet.

Is that extended to 100,000? How many years? More details needed to determine if it's a good deal or not.
