Salvage title g35..

I bought a g35 from a dealership that it said it was a certified veichcle... But i just recently found out it was a salvage tittle car.. Because i went up to infiniti to see if i still had my warrentys because my tp sensor went out and was gonna get it fix.. The dealer said i should call up there and get my money back because dealerships are not poes to sell salvage tittle cars.. Can anyone help me out? Am i right?.. Post comments please, thanks.

Was it an infiniti dealer? You should def. go back and ask them.

Also was it just dealer certified?

Oh hell no. 1st verify it has a salvage title. You can buy a one time search with carfax or ask the Infiniti dealer to print something out.

Then go back to the other dealer and rip into them. But since this dealer doesn't seem to be an Infiniti dealer, you had better clarify what their definition of "certified" is.

It is illegal for them to sell a Salvage vehicle without disclosing that fact to you. Good advice above... get a carfax, and if it truly is a salvage... do not pass GO... head straight to that dealer and get your money back.

Get a business card from a lawyer..
If the dealer doesn't cooperate give him the card & say "my lawyer will be in touch"

certified by whom and for what? It is clear the car was not factory certified.

What state are you in. It was probably an out of state vehicle that somehow got retitled as free and clear. It's a sneaky game questionable dealers play. Happened to me once a looonnnggg time ago. Bastards...

Apparently there are a number of places in most metro areas where people take rebuilt/salvage titles, get them destroyed, and have an entirely new "clean" title created for their car. Illegal and underhanded, but it happens all the time.

Good luck. Was this car financed? If so, be ready to get a call from your bank when the title shows up. How deep did you look into the paperwork you signed at purchase? Most shady dealers will put a release in there with getting you to sign off the title is salvage. If you signed it, you could be screwed.

That's good... at least they're being honest... now you have the burden of proving it's salvage

Also, if there seems to be nothing wrong, you could always negotiate a much, much lower price for your trouble and the salvage
