5th gear binding question-- manual tranny

Hello! I'm hoping someone on the forum has an idea on a problem my car has developed, the transmission and I aren't getting along... I'm on my way to Mid-America in Iowa for a track weekend right now, and 5th gear is binding up when going into gear. No grinding at all, though, and all other gears are just fine. I just have to push much harder to get it into gear than I should... The car is an '04 G35 coupe 6MT, 41K miles. I just installed a 13lb lightweight flywheel with a new OEM clutch and pressure plate, but the car has been up on blocks all winter so I don't know if the flywheel install is related or not. I'll need 5th gear at two places every lap, so if anyone has any ideas I'd very much appreciate the advice! Thanks in advance.

Turns out the issue was an adjustment of the shifter. There is a plate below the shift **** that acts as the pivot point of the shifter itself, and that plate is adjustable. It's sitting under the shifter, mounted to the tranny by 3 bolts (you get to it from the passenger compartment). We adjusted that plate and that did the trick!
