Someone open his door a little bit to hard that it hit my door. Now there's a small puck on my door.

Is it possible to remove it without going to the garage? like a DIY?

 

I would definitely not recommend doing something like that yourself...

door puck brings to mind a hard rubber round thing used to dent doors when launched with a curved stick...

 

Someone told me that it was possible to use a cold spray can ... spray on the puck, then use hot air, and by magic no more puck .....

If someone has a tutorial of that, or a video ...

 

it looks like someone threw a hockey puck on the door but not hard.

 

a safe bet would be PDR. And it's not too expensive ($60-$90).

+++ PDR - "painless dent removal". I had a car that got dented all over by huge hail on the roof, hood, doors, etc. and after PDR you could not see a single dent. Find a good shop that does this and it will be like new. Caveat - if the metal is sharply creased or the paint is cracked it may be more work.

Re : WTF - It's been talked about for years - you put very cold air (e.g. dry ice) on the dent, then heat it and the metal will pop out. I have never seen it happen, and still recommend PDR. inexpensive, and it works.

at the time of post I didn’t even know what he meant by "puck" I've never heard of a dent described as "puck"... the compounded with the "cold air hot air, no more puck" statement - I was totally baffled by what he meant...

It several posts to piece it all together... seems like a better description would have resulted in PDR and end of thread.

 

Yep - PDR. I should have said cold, not cold AIR. There are a lot of home remedies for dents, but PDR is the way to go.
