Red face hopefully buying my G this weekend. need some help

hey guys!
im planning to buy a used 07 G35 this weekend. This is my first time buying at a dealership.
can anyone give me pointers on how to negotiate prices?

heres the link of the car im planning to get

Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com

I looked at it yesterday and its clean but have some minor scratch on the trunk and some small ones on the taillight. the guy said it can be buffed. Also it has an injen intake and some generic rims i think?

also im planning to buy it cash. is that good? or do i just finance it?
can it help in negotiation?

thanks! hopefully i can buy it so i can go to the meets

I think it's too much

I think you can get a way better deal for a 2007.
Go look arround some more.

Those look like aftermarket rims. But they are nice.

It looks to be a basic package with no Bose (Don't need it)

No Nav (Don't need it)

No keyless entry (Don't need it)

Go in and offer 26K out the door. Tell them you'll write a check. Cash purchases offer you the most negotiating power.

Get them to throw in a couple of detail jobs.

If they say no, tell them no worries, that theres a couple of other cars youre going to look at.

Have you been preapproved for the loan yet? If so you have the power, and don't let the dealer know how much you have been approved for. They are hustler's and they will try to get you to buy all the things you don't need. Also ask the dealer for the invoice price which he paid. Don't let him hit you with that MSRP shyt. That's what they try to do to rookies. I know they are in it for a profit, but don't let them take you to the cleaners.

I'm blessed to be able to buy just about any car out there. For the money the G35 Coupe is the best bang for your buck. Go luck, and enjoy the experience.

No i havent been pre approved. Coz i havent applied and also i wanna get it cash coz i dont want any payments. I know it will help my credit in a long run but when i compute the money i will be giving them its much better to keep that money in my pocket and get other things than paying interest.

Thank you for our info guys! i will be going to the dealer today to negotiate.
wish me luck!!!

What's the advantage of an '07 over an '06? (Besides the obvious more time on the warranty)

No, only the 2007 G35 Sedan and 350Z are the HR. The G35 coupe is still the VQ35DE with 298 HP and 260lb-ft TQ

Just because you get a loan doesn't mean you have to completely stay within the lines of the payments. If you have a low credit score or none at all, doing a car loan would be amazing for your credit. Early payoffs will still help you. And even if you have history but no more than 2 or 3 lines of credit, keeping it for a few months and paying it off will open another line of credit.

But then again, if you have that kind of money to throw around, maybe credit isn't an issue for you

Too Much

I can tell you as a fellow consumer that it took me 3 months to find the perfect G!! paying that much for a car that has no options is not worth it. Find a better deal.. if you are paying in cash then find someone selling a nice car with a good rep here on the board and get that from them

cars.com has cheaper cars in my experince.

I would get an 06, not very many improvements to the 07 besides cost.
