Tornado damage... oh noes...
Tornado damage... oh noes...
Okay, okay, so it really wasn't that bad. (you can all feel relieved)
Scenario:
New car.
Old car.
One car garage.
Which one do you put in the garage? Yes, new car. (The G)
Which one do you leave out on the street? Yes, the old car (The Cougar)
Which one gets damaged by our ridiculous weather? Of course, the G.
So as an F1 tornado passed over my house, it pulled a giant branch out of the tree behind us. Maybe 6" in diameter. What does the tornado do with this piece of tree? Yes, it slams it into the side of our old-*** garage. It hit with enough force to crack one of the 2x4s supporting the wall of the garage... lengthwise... that's a lot of force.
Anyway, it didn't come through the garage per se, but it did manage to blast everything off of the shelving on the passenger's side of the garage, right onto the side of the G. !%*(&.
I opened the garage and saw a bunch of $hit on the floor and a paint can sitting on top of my hood. One funny looking dent in the hood, 2 dents in the fender, a couple of (fortunately) very small dings on the door, and new paint for all panels affected.
Anyway, $1250 later it will get fixed (thanks insurance) and I figured I might as well do a Nismo bumper and clearbra while I'm at it
I had quite a bit of gravel pitting on the hood/bumper anyway... so good riddance.
So the Nismo bumper is sitting in storage and I can't wait to get it put on. Seems to be a good quality piece, too.
I'll post pics for sure.
