Dead or Mostly Dead

Went to the dealer to pick up a part that came in and couldn't believe the inventory of cars on the lot. Nobody there and endless rows of cars. I would imagine that some good deals could be had right now if one was so inclined.

Actually, the popularity has skyrocketed for Chrysler 300, so chrysler can't be doing THAT bad... as opposed to truck lots.

The infiniti dealers must not be hurting.... They were asking $22k for an 04' coupe in the auto trader. I drove the car and when we started talking numbers, the salesman wouldn't move off the price of the car, AT ALL. He HAD TO GET $22K FOR THE CAR !!! Then he offered me $7.5 for my SRT4 which bluebook via trade-in was $14.4K !!! I said, " if you've got to have bluebook for the G35, then I need blue book for my SRT4 ". I ended up walking out on them, bunch of dumb asses. This was at the main infinite dealer right in town town Tampa, and they claimed they didn't know if they could sell my 28K mile perfect condition SRT4 AT ALL.

2 weeks later, I financed $14.4K on my G35. Added $2K for a bumper to bumper warrenty ( from window motors to sunroof to hood latch ). My payment on the G35 is actully less per month than my SRT4 was, and my insurence dropped !!

Anyway, point is... There either going to try and sell everything just to move cars OR ( like the infinite dealer in tampa ) try to COMPLETELY SCREW everyone that walks through the door to make up for the lack of volume.

$7.5K for my SRT4.... Dumbasses. We got "auction value" for it and it was STILL $11.8K.

My brother went from a Z28 to his Lexus IS300 and his insurence doubled !! He called and asked why, they said the "cost of replacement" for the lexus parts were WAY WAY more than the cost of replacement parts for the camaro.

Me going from a "neon" to a G35, I figured the cost of replacement parts was prob. triple... Then again, per, the SRT4 is the biggest killer of male drivers 18-24 years old. It has great brakes, but.... It also has great power.

Also has one of the most unsafe chassis on the road and is more likely to be stolen. My insurance on the G is much cheaper than my Civic Si... hell, I can get insured for an EVO for less than the Si...
