Gas Gauge fill line?

So the past three times i filled up my tank it has only been going to the line just above the 3/4 tank line. The most recent time the gas actually overflowed out of the car ( i got a car-wash immediately after) and still hasn't reached the top even if i drive under 2K Rpm's, before i filled it today i drove it to almost 300 miles on that tank which is around what i usually get and the light was on for about 60 miles. Could it be that it is just reading it wrong or could it be that i'm filling it to high (OVERFLOW)? This only started happening after i installed the 5/16" plenum spacer. I reset the ECU and have been driving so conservatively that it's getting on my nerves.

PLEASE HELP!!? i did a search for this and all i could find were things on the gas gauge going up and down when people slammed on it(which obviously is going to happen) but this is not normal.

My fuel gauge is useless also.

Fill it full full full almost over flowing. after 30-40 kms.. it goes to the quarter line, and stays there til like 200 kms or something then starts to move a bit. i'll turn off the car .. couple hours later, get in and and the fuel guage is totally different.. wow it is soooooo bad.. is there a fix for this? it isnt even ball park guess.. it is straight up blind retard man telling how much fuel i have. My odometer works better. i know my normal mileage so that tells me how much i got left. reset it every refill.

i had the same problem... what i did was to clean the floaters on both fuel tanks with q-tips... access is thru your rear seats... fairly easy job... start with the floater on your right ( when facing rear ), the side without the fuel pump, as it is easy to remove this side... be careful on the side with the fuel pump... don't even think of pulling it out just lift it up and clean from there... this should take care of the problem... total cost $1... remember to remove your negative battery connection... good luck all...
