Yesterday I had placed a floor jack under the car for a quick oil change and I missed the jacking point under the car. By the time I was through with the oil change I noticed that the whole floor board inside the passenger compartment was pushed up. I took it to a body shop and he said in 50 years that he has never seen this before but is should be a relatively quick fix. Fuki...if you actually try this let me know how it comes out. A buddy of mine who's been working on cars for 10+ years did the exact same **** to my G a few months ago and I haven't gotten around to getting it to a body shop yet.

 

You know the exact same thing happend to me in my Audi and the floor is still raised until today, I thought it would have been impossible to sort out

 

smash that crap back down the carpet covers it

 

+1 My bro had to do this on his 2nd gen RX7. You won't notice a difference from stock from the top when you're done. Hopefully it's in a place where you can get a good swing at it. Make sure there are no wires, plastic, etc. below where you're hitting.

 

i would highly suggest wrapping iven the rubber mallet in like a bar towel or something to keep from marring your carpet it can rip it up if it grips it right

 

+1. on using a rubber malet to even out the floor board.

I would highly suggest caution following that advice. In my coupe there is a pretty thick piece of hard foam stuff below the carpet. I can't imagine yours (coupe or sedan) would be any different. You need to at least pull up the carpet and pull out that foam before you even get to the floor pan. If you hammer on the carpet the brunt of your force will likely be absorbed by and cause damage to that foam piece.
