Warranty covers?

Hey guys. One of my friends has bmw and last week he went to the dealer with ripped leather on driver seat (just a lil bit) and "bold" steering wheel. I was kinda surprised because they replaced his steering wheel and fixed (replaced part?) the leather for free, his warranty just covered it.. I have exactly same problems in my g35 with over 59000 miles so still have warranty and do you guys know is warranty from infiniti covers these problems too?
thanx
Mike

I am not 100% sure but I believe there it was an option to purchase the extra warranty for the leather seats. So I don't think it came with the basic warranty that came with out G.

Again, not 100% sure but I will look into that.

I doubt the dealer would replace it under warranty.. It has too many miles.. I think it's just like the brakes.. Wear and Tear.. You never know.. It's worth a try..

if the dealer decides to replace it under warranty, consider yourself very lucky, i had 56K on mine and they refused, as i have heard the same from other drivers also...

im pretty sure they wouldnt cover it for free, unless it was a brand new 08g37 with the warped leather problem.

bmw has been giving me nothing but awsome service when it comes to fixing my car, maintinence, etc.

they will replace the leather under warranty... i had mine replaced for free not to long ago for a 1" inch rip

the pic is after it was replaced but the plastic that holds the leather is causing the rip...

i have also heard of them replacing the steering wheel as well...
