Alright, So I purchased my 07 mt Coupe a few weeks ago. Not 1 week after I have it, it gets broken into and I have no idea how. I'm thinking a slimjim but i see no marks what soever. A few other cars in my complex were broken into as well. Only reason i knew is because all the compartments were open and my phone charger was gone. Nothing was damaged thank god and it was still there lol. I just can't for the life of me figure out how they got in. Does the stock security system suck that bad? The next day I had a viper security system put in it. I had to deploy so i hope it stays safe till I return. Wife is keeping an eye on it. Anyone know if people use modded keyless entry remotes or somthing? only think i can think of. Anyway, had to vent a bit. Worried about my car back home.

That sucks, but atleast they didn't bust stuff up or get anything of real value (ie. rims, GPS system, or the car itself).
The stock alarm system is supposed to sound the alarm if the door is opened without using the key or key fob.

 

Yes the stock system sucks. It is really hard to set off. Good call on the viper system.

 

Not well informed on this but do they come with stock alarm or is it just a keyless entry with a flashing LED..??

 

it's a factory alarm but it does suck. a/m for alarm is the way to go. viper or clifford are 2 of the better ones out there, the one thing that reins true is if a professional thief wants your car he's going to get it and it does not matter what type of alarm you have. a good friend of mine found that out the hardway.
