Question Doors open when they are locked

Hey guys i was wondering if it was normal that I can open my car from the inside even though it is locked. I'm not to sure if it did that b4. And I dnt know if it's becuz my drivers door acctuator died.
Thanks for any of ur inputs.

i cant eithier. i know cause sometimes i forget my door is locked when i try and open it

on my '05 6mt coupe... the door must be unlocked first before you can open from the inside. Just verified... I'd have sworn it was the other way around lol...

I can't open mine if the doors are locked . I've always thought it was annoying as hell since other cars I've had let you do that. I don't remember if my '04 let me do it or not.

thanks for the input guys. id rather much have them not open because even if the car is rolling they open

If I am sitting inside the car with the doors locked and I pull the lever to open the door the lock will move to the unlock position and the door will open too... Our Nissan Maxima does this, and same with the mazda 6 rental we had.

I always try that in every car for some reason.

I have an 03 coupe

I would think that it is definitely something broken if it is doing it even while the car is in motion. I know the cars that I have had that DID open did not open unless the car was in park.

Eh any car I've ever had minus this one would let me open it when locked even if you were doing 90+.... usually only the back seats won't open when locked, but the fronts will. Never understood why minus child protection type stuff.
