Is it heavy? Yes.
Compared to its class? not at all.
^ Ditto. With all the safety features on the new cars it's hard to find one that would be considered "light". Hell even the small compact cars like the solstice and sky aren't that light

335 - faster, i agree
Audi - still lacks in handling department
CTS - not faster i will guarantee it
The bottom line is G35 is one of the lightest ones and faster than most of them in strait line. Weight is usually brought in when it comes to handling of the car and that is where i was going to. Handling wise stock 07+ g35 will give the 335 run for its money and trash the others in that department.
We are getting kinda off topic here but when people say G35 is a pig, u obviously made the wrong choice if u wanted a light agile car. 113 inch wheelbase won't help the car to "feel" light even though it is beneficial in high speed cornering.

i was comparing to the coupe as in performance stand point. 07 sedan is of course the fastest G. i didnt buy the car for handling, or weight. I bought the car cause i couldnt stop staring at it. I had to have it.
your right about being the lightest in its class. when i first stated "its a heavy pig" cause you would think its a light car, but when you see the specs they surprise you.
as another person stated; all the extra safety features cars have to offer now make vehicles heavy.
Well when I was at the track "Crofton Raceway" in MD...with no back seat, no spare tire or jack and a about 1/4 tank...slightly less with me in the car it weighted 3540lbs. And I weigh 240lbs...so I guess 3300lbs....thats still heavy!

bigger heavier doors, more structure reinforcement since there is no B pillar, its a heavy pig.
