warranty question

My clutch is starting to go out will the dealership take care of that or help pay for it if i have a warranty?

I have this big gash in the middle bottom of my bumper and i was wondering what would happen if i brought in my car to the dealership? would they tell me that they cant work on it because i have that gash? would they blame anything that was wrong with my car on that gash?

thanks for the help

The clutch is considered a wear item. Under normal guidelines it will NOT be covered under warranty. If it's beginning to fail because of basic wear and tear, bring your checkbook. The only way it'd be covered under warranty is if your car is relatively brand new and your clutch failed prematurely due to a manufacturing defect. Wear and tear due to use over time will NOT get you a new clutch under warranty. Hope that answers your question. Not sure about the gash in your bumper. I don't see how that would have anything to do with your clutch though.
