Need Some Insight

I'm new to the forums and not yet a G35 owner. I've got my heart set on an 05 or 06 G35 sport model. I'm currently looking at an 05 black on black G35 Sport, 6 speed manual, premium package car for sale for $17,990. The inside is really clean and in great shape. The engine is very clean and it drives really well. Nice and tight, plenty of clutch, and only 26,000 miles on it and new Goodyear tires. My concern is the shape that the body is in. It's got obvious wear and tear scratches on all the doors, the front end, the hood, and the rear deck lid and bumper.

My questions are this: if I can get them down to $17,000, would the difference in $900.00 be enough to cover the majority of the body work needed to take out the scratches? and two, is there anyone from the forum in the Atlanta area, that can recommend a body shop or someone that's done good body work for them. Most of the scratches are, from what I can tell, down to the primer coat, and some in the bumper are pretty deep as well. The dealer (a private dealer) also told me that if I wasn't happy with the center columns between the windows on the doors due to fading, that the dealership would replace the doors under warranty. Is this true? Outside of the body issues, the car is in prime condition. Any assistance from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A bad body is a sign that the car wasn't taken care of. I suggest you find a local member that can give you some more direct feedback on that vehicle.

Well, that's what I'm afraid of. It's only 1 owner according to the Carfax report and that owner did indeed take care of the inside of the car and the engine is spotless, but my other concern is that it's got new tires after 26,000 miles. Is that normal?

Vehicle sold "AS-IS"? That already is a bad sign. No under-hood shot? Also a bad sign.

I've already seen the car twice and driven it. Looked in the trunk, under the hood, inside and out. Thanks for replying Mike. Do you have any insight on the other questions I posted too? Thanks!
