How Mr Samster Was Owned =)
How Mr Samster Was Owned =)
Hi, my name is Henry, I don't own a G35...or even an Infiniti or Nissan for the matter. I actually drive a honda civic =x
lol. anyways, I hope I posted this thread in the right place, if not, I do apologize and if the mods could help me move the thread to it's proper forum, that would be much appreciated.
but the reason for this thread is to show you mr samster's g35 (before and after). but before i go on, i would like to thank joe (jmonsale) for making this all possible. i dont know if any of you saw his thread about him selling his nismo front bumper (https://g35driver.com/forums/exterio...04-sedan.html).
i've known sam since 7th grade...so we pretty much grew up together almost. i knew he wanted this bumper because he couldn't stop talking about it. so i got a few friends together and decided that for sam's birthday, thats what he should get. i collected enough money to pick it up in about 2 weeks after i first contacted joe. things worked out perfectly, joe played along with us and giving sam the run around that someone had a left a deposit and it may be sold to someone else. sam became sad, but we got a little more excited. we had originally planned to just give him the bumper in person, but came up with a better idea.
instead of just giving the bumper to him on his birthday, we decided to install it for him before he got home from work. so on sunday, i woke up extra early and got to work on his car. getting his bumper off was the easy part...about 1/2 hour max time to take it off. but the next 4 hours were very frustrating...haha. we had no idea how much it took to get the bumper fitted onto his car because we had to remove some foam pieces, plastic pieces, and 2 metal pieces which were riveted to his bumper support.
but all in all, the car looked great as soon as everything was mounted. we were so excited to have everything ready for him when he got home. we parked his car in his garage and closed it. then we all came over to his house that night he got home. he asked where his car was and we told him we had washed it for him and parked it in the garage....this is where we gave him the garage opener.
no words can describe the look on his face...i dont believe we had ever seen him so happy. if we had a way to record it, i would upload it to youtube and paste a link...but we didnt get the chance.
thank you g35 driver for making this all possible. to those who posted helpful information on how to remove the front bumper which i had to piece together, to joe for being who he is and having everything ready for pick up, and to everyone who pitched in and helped me with the installation.
here's the pictures of his car before:

and how she sits today (sorry for the crappy pictures):
