Dinan is to BMW as ______ is to Infiniti.
First off, noone said it was a BMW forum. A member asked a question, and his question was answered with the opinions of others. That sir, is in essence what the forum community is all about.
Now, to respond to your thoughts of a "NISMO GT-R". Good luck with that. The owners cant even keep their standard GT-R's out of the dealerships. Add to that the factory-revealed, but not factory-warrantied launch control; disintegrating transmissions; and love-it or hate-it styling, and you will inevitably have people preferring the reliability/no-nonsense from BMW dealers (when it comes to covering warranty work on ANY Dinan cars).
Also, the two cars are in different classes. You can have a Dinan S3 335i for under 60K, and you cant TOUCH the GT-R for under 90K right now, and you want to talk about the "NISMO GT-R". Where the he!! can you get that car? I shudder to think what the sticker price would be if you could even get it. And I surely wouldnt toss money down the drain on that. A car that has advertised performance specs that you cannot achieve without having the unavoidable warranty work denied. You can keep that hunk of S---. Check out the Edmunds Inside Line blog for their long term GT-R. Then commit some time to read their periodical entries. Or, check out the forums at NAGTROC. You will eventually realize that Nissan put these cars on the road with a transmission that they knew was flawed. BUT, Godzilla is the best no matter what (according to Fanboys). You are making an apples/oranges relationship with your thoughts on these cars, and that makes no sense.
"nismo ftmfw this aint no bmw forum get the fVk outta here with that bs"
Members of the car community asking questions of others in the car community who may or may not have better information than the answer is the spirit of online fan communities. Please don't call reasonable questions like this BS----the people asking if they can fit 24's on their G37 Coupe, or asking if the 2003 G is a better choice than a 2008 M3; now thats a different story.

Well, apologies in order if you were indeed being sarcastic. Very intelligent way of contributing I must say. Make a comment, don't read the response, but then make another comment. Brilliant---like the Guinness commercials.
May I also suggest you read a book on sarcasm? You obviously aren't skilled in the art. Your comment mirrored those of fanboys all over the internet who refuse to believe that anything is better than what they think is the best, hence my well thought out reply.

There is no dinan tuned 335 even over 400whp yet.. its not possible to make 450 to the wheels with just full bolt on's. Even with the most aggressive tunes like juice box and procede somone barely hit over 400whp. The dinan flash is less aggressive compared to those two.
My girl's mom has a 3.0L/i6, Z4 (225 stock hp i believe
) with the whole Dinan exhaust, intake, etc. When she got it, she told me they had also Dinan tuned it and it was pushing close to 400hp. I just kinda shrugged my shoulders (not wanting to debate with her lol), but wow, after reading this thread, maybe it is pushing near that much? I didn't know Dinan tunes were that effective with 335i's...

all i gotta say is my infiniti is DIDAN tuned
go to the dinan website
You will see that with their top pkg on that Z, you will see 239whp/236 ft/lbs. That is nowhere near what she said. Simply---without forced induction---400hp=impossible on that car. She was Bull$hitting, or Bull$hitted herself.
Now, as far as the 400+hp club and the 335's, with the full Dinan components, they get 398 whp, and 429 ft/lbs. That is killer no matter how you look at it. Yes, its not 400 hp, but those 2 little horsies will not make any difference, the torque is going to be the more noticeable. 430 ft/lbs is nothing to sneeze at, but 450hp at the wheels via Dinan, once again. Impossible.

The reason that with "just a tune" these 335s are MONSTERS is that they have TWO TURBOCHARGERS. Any car person knows that a factory FI car is highly restricted, add in a few breathing mods, and a new map for the computer, the car will be totally different.
+1
If someone wanted to get the most power through mods with the least amount of money, turbo'd cars are the only way to go. I hope no one bought their G thinking they could get a massive power boost from just bolt-on parts and reflashes. In regards to Dinan tuning, I know a co-worker with a 135i with just a relatively simple Dinan reflash for only $2K and the claimed power boost by dinan was from 300HP/300TQ to 380ish HP/420TQ. Now thats some bang for the buck!
Well I appreciate all of the comments but I think I may need to clarify the question a bit more. I think it is well understood that I am not going to find a "Dinan Tune" for a N/A car that will match the tuning options of a TT.
However, I still love the G and would like to do a few things to personalize the car - I just dont want to void my warranty. What Dinan has offered me is a way to tune my car without loosing my warranty. Though BMW may deny me, Dinan will backfill and pay the bills directly to BMW. Are there any tuners that do that for Infiniti?
I wouldnt think Nismo would be a problem (used to have an exhuast on my 350Z) but never heard of how Infiniti dealers respond...
