Oil Consumption...HELP PLEASE!!

i've got an 06' Coupe MT Stock and I know that it needs an engine replacement because I measure the oil consumption myself.

is there an advantage to waiting to get my engine replacement done now or should i wait a while??

also, is the engine replacement a brand new engine or a rebuilt one?

Take it to your dealer let them run some test... if you have the oil consumption they will replace it with a NEW engine

Like Wes stated, take it in to your dealer, and let them document the oil comsumption problem. They will most likely do the "Oil comsumption Test", by draining your oil, refilling and then monitoring the loss over time.

Odds are, if your losing a substantial amount of oil, say 1-2 quarts over a 3,000 mile period, your most likely getting a new engine.
Good luck

As everyone said take it to the dealer. You will go through a oil consumption test to determine how much you are consuming.

If replaced you will get a rebuilt engine not new.

Search is your friend..
