I currently own a Audi A6 but am getting tired of its expensive parts and repairs. I am looking at trading it in on a 2005 G35x (3.5 V6) with 33K miles. Since this would be my first Infinity, are there any mechanical issues I should be looking for with this car. Any opinions of it? How expensive are parts and maintenance? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

It's Infiniti

No major issues, besides Oil Consumption(6MT only), in which case you get a new engine for free. The only other issue is the window motor and axle click, (both insignifcant) and I believe they were both fixed after 04 so your all good.

Infiniti's are extremely reliable as long as you keep proper regular maintence.

 

Thanks for the information. The G35x sedan I'm looking at has the automatic transmission, so I'm assuming the oil consumption problem doesn't apply. Correct?
