I like 17 not 19 inch wheels!

I am not afraid to say it.

Less noise, better ride, I even like the look - fills out the well just perfect.

I am ready to be blasted but I like everything about the stock 17's - I have an offer on an 05 with 19's and I am actually trying to pay to get them switched out (car is at a dealer, dark blue, black int, performance, no nav)

I am prepared for the abuse I am about to take but keep in mind I have my performance license, a '74 911 that I track with skinny old 15 inch fuchs that I wouldn't trade for the world but then again I am 36 years old...

1. am I totally crazy or is less wheel more joy?
2. think I can find someone to straight swop 17's for 19's?
3. If I can't find a sucker what can I expect to pay for a set of mint 17's?

Can't wait to get one these cars...

Nothing wrong with 17" wheels, but the stock 17" ones aren't all that.

I've heard it's a lot more tail happy with 17s. LOL and don't pay to get them swapped out, wtf are you doing man? Someone on here will give you PERFECT 17's for your 19's, or you could just sell them for 1,200 and buy 17's for like 600. Or someone can give you their 17's and pay you 400 for your 19's trade.

BTW, if you want good perfomance 17's, these aren't them. You'll need some light forged ones with better rubber.

I too have never seen what people like about oversized tires in cars. Or tires that stick out the side. Or those stupid spinners. Or, for that matter, cars that have been raised or lowered.

true, I was thinking stock 17's but maybe a little pimp is whats called for here - I'll have all winter to think about it - I'll grab a set of steelies for the winter

glad to hear support for the smaller wheels - I don't know much about performance wheels and rubber but the average slammed honda has a way bigger proportion of wheel to tire sidewall than a Formula 1 car but then again maybe a rules thing...

I guess the theory is you get less rubber "roll over" in high speed corning with a lower sidewall/ bigger wheel but I also thought thats kind of how tires work - anyway, just a little off topic...

19s for street, 17s for track, or best of both worlds, forged 18s from 350z track cars. This is for OEM of course, aftermarket is a whole different animal.

mint condition stock 17" powder coated "hyper black chrome" - center cap is painted semi-color match and logo is black chromed - the caps and logos need to be re-done

Here's a crappy pic

If you are local I'll consider selling them - they have differetn tires on now - Kumho Ecsta Asx 235/50/17 practically new

I have oem 18s on in winter and I love them more than the stock 19's in summer. Look waaaaay better, softer ride (45 vs 40 profile), faster (read: lighter), and better turn in.

Not a fan of the 17s myself, but dude, it's your ride, your priorities. Go nuts.

Just don't skimp on the rubber! (that's what she said)

I just bought a G that has some VERY nice 17" on it with good tires. The car only has 25K on it so the wheels look brand new. I would be intrested in a trade if you are close enough. Where are you located?

Wheels are similar to this, but have a chrome/polished look to them.
