6mt drivers!

I got a few questions for all the 6mt guys here on driver.

1. What fluid do you guys use for your transmission?
2. How often do you guys change your tranny fluid?
3. Drain and fill or a complete flush?

Well this last question is for all my fellow G35drivers.
4. What fluid do you guys use for the differential?
5. DIY? Or serviced by Nissan or Infiniti?

1. AMSOIL 75w-90 syn api GL4
2. ~ 30K
3. just drain and fill
4. What the sm says - 80w-90 GL5 syn
5. all DIY - this is almost as easy as changing your oil. Don't pay someone to do it.

3. +1

5. Definately do it yourself. Too easy. Save ur money.

P.S. If you have a automatic, use Nissan Recommended Fluid Matic J otherwise it will void warranty.

Have those of you who have switched over to AMSOIL or other non-OEM tranny fluids found that it makes any difference in shift quality?

I was wondering if it was an improvement over stock - I think the stock box is a bit notchy so was wondering if changing fluid smoothed it out at all.

i couldn't tell the difference actually i have no idea what was in there before i changed the fluid, car had 125km not miles on it, i made a couple hundered before changing to redline, i don't remember the tranny being noisy ever, but i know i don't have trouble switching gears with a cold car in the winter

tranny i used REDLINE MTL, for the Diff 75w90 i believe, u gotta check with the manual and compare the "GL" values i think diff takes GL-5 and tranny GL-4

Yes, Tranny is GL-4 and the Diff is GL-5. I just bought this car a month ago, so I'm changing everything out to be safe.

I used Royal Purple and it is total crap. When temperature is below 50 degrees, there's a high pitch whine until the oil warms up after a mile or two. Do any of you using other full synthetic oils have this problem?
