update guys:

picked up a use set of axis 20s 7mods...now im looking at locks. ill keep u guys posted when i decide on which one or ones.i wanna run 2-3sets. why u ask? my mental comfort that it will somewhat deter them or slow them down LOL...

and the fact im getting my gf (who drives my car 95% of the time, cus i work at home...a used civic. so when she's at her new apt. i wont have to worry about my G)
will ease my mind.

Keep my G garaged next to my bloodsweat n tears self-modded B16 hatch. LOL...

so i guess my next move is ot make sure i have good garage door opener. HA! jk guys...

I had my rims stolen from in front of my house in a good neighborhood in the suburbs and a cop with a marked car lives on my street.

I'm going to tell you the same things you probably heard a million times in the posts before. Try to invest in some good locks. If someone wants you wheels they will get them...but make it hard for them. Get some good locks, **** get a different lock for each lug! Have a led alarm light...it will scare some ppl away who will want an easier target. If you have a garage or driveway park in it overnite. um...if you can block your car in with other cars or park it side by side with another car so close that they can't get to the wheels on one side of your car do that. **** after I got rims the second time I was so careful and those didn't get stolen. But accept the fact that it can happen..and like stated earlier our factory rims are worth some money so with that money you can get another set.

The Gorilla Guards with the spinning outer shell looks like a good idea in theory but, if the bastards are using the "magic tool" that pretty much anyone can buy and many of us probably have a set already for legal purposes, then the Gorilla design will very likely still allow the thief to force that tool on there and remove the nut.

I seriously almost went and ordered a set just now...damn. Might stop the less experienced criminals. Hell for $20 bucks what's it gonna hurt to try.

Still, thumbs up on getting at least some sort of wheel lock. No sense making things easier than they already are. A minute delay is a minute more chance for someone to spot them and shoot them...twice...center of mass baby! kidding of course.

Get a dummy security camera, they rotate by motion sensor and have magnetic base so you can mount it on the car roof.

I got these yesterday and they seem to work well, they are a bit on the heavy side.

Can anyone else suggest a better Wheel Lock?

as mentioned previously, I use McGard - 4 spline on each wheel with 1 lock on each wheel... these were my first choice, Gorilla would have been my 2nd choice... those are the only two I was considering (and I researched them all).

I got mine @ Summit racing, but I just looked it up and I dont see the set anymore... the spline drive part number is 65354 - I can’t remember the set (including lock) part #... I'd have to look it up when I get home.

I have been pleased with these... I got black chrome (which looks like black pearl). But I heard McGard was behind on backing that version - I dont know if they have any in stock now.
