I would rather get a GT-R for that price. And since you have to order it (Most likely), you get to keep the G for a while.

If you seriously want an AMG and are willing to pay for all that extra cost, then I would wait a little while, and buy a slightly used one. Those things take massive hits on price used.

Mercedes are very expensive to maintain and fix. If money is not an issue, go for it. Otherwise, stay with your G. Save your cash and buy some stocks in bargain.

Basically, in the near future there are going to be bigger, badder, and maybe even cheaper cars than the c63 AMG. Wait it out, you especially don't want to be taking out a massive loan when the economy is like this.

If i were you i would look for a used one with very low miles. I forgot which mercedes forum i was looking at but i saw a 08 with 3000 miles sell for 50k. A new one with couple options will run you around 70k so the one that sold for 50 was a great deal imo

rather keep the G than buy an over priced chrystler, regardless of if its made over seas or not its still a chrystler to me, lol they all have terrible reliablity. BMW = BRING MY WALLET (to the dealership that is), i dont have an acronym for AMG lol

just mod your g to be faster than the c63... you could do it for way less that you would be spending to pay for the c63.. just a thought though

Is this thread still alive.... OMG, it's turned into a horde of regurgitated, remixed and recycled 1-2 liners. Send it to one of these 2 places (RIP):

Twin turbo G35, and some other mods will be much funnier then the ****ty Merc. Plus once warrenty is over get ready for problems with the car, if your rich go for it. Plus that 12mpg is going to be really fun to fill up every 4 days.

In my opinion (and that is all it is) you are looking at two different worlds here.

The C63, no matter what any of you say, is no worse a deal than an IS-F, or the CTS-V. It is an awesome car for a good price, that you don't have to lower, supercharge/turbo charge, put a stereo in and whatever else. You get in, and you go. The car is driving mecca. But you are coming from a 2+2 coupe....so why not look at what is available for that price in a 2 door variant. Someone mentioned earlier a 335i, or an M3, both excellent vehicles. You could also look at a used 911 (as long as its certified) or a brand new Cayman S. A GTR is out of the question as dealer markups on them are still very high, and keeping the prices in the mid 80s and higher. (friend just got one for 91k OTD...) You could turbo the G, but you are going to be dumping money into a 5 year old car with an outdated design, not to mention you got the new car itch anyways. In the end, its what is going to make you happy and only you can make that choice. The fact that you posted on here to see the responses shows that you are undecided and have not truly committed to spending that kind of money for a car yet because if I was looking for a new car, I would have bought one first and then posted on here.
