Want some advise
My older brothers friend got in a wreck tonight running a light or something not really sure
He isnt a very good driver obviously
but his dad gave him his g35 as he would be leaving the country for a long time
anyways back to the point i was wondering if yall think his car is totaled or not?
he got cliped on the back driver side and he swung around and hit a curb and cracked his rim as peices are missing on the opposite back side(kinda hard to notice in the pics) but do yall think theres any frame damage on that or cant tell
because im not sure and was just curious what other people thought
Heres the pics my brother sent me:

Just buy the car from the insurance company for about $200-300 and then do all the trades you need. You can do some trades, but you don't have a lot of time. If you buy the car back, you have weeks to work on all the trades, save $$$$$$ and then have it removed by a salvage yard for free since they'll use it for parts also.

I thought they cost like 3000-4000.

The G may be more expensive, but a salvage yard will pay based on typical value of a car based on a formula at times or just by dickering with the insurance rep. I've done this 2X for older cars, and the cost was <$500 apiece-- never with a newer, more expensive car. So, I'm probably off by alot- and you're likely very right here.
I think it also depends on what is salvageable-- a front end collision with a damaged motor, windshield and dash may cost very little compared to a rear-end collision with a bent frame on the rear.

A member here got his 2004 stuck in a hurricane or whatever and had water damage, I think he said the cost was around 4000 to buy it back.
