So my friend found out a couple days ago that the insurance has totaled the car and when he gets back from california he will sign some papers and what not
but my question is Who am i going to have to deal with to get those parts off my friends car
Insurance or junk yard?

It depends on who buys the car from the insurance company. They won't sell car parts-- not their business. If it goes to a junkyard, expect to pay up at least 50-75% of the value of the part. If your friend buys the car, then you just pay him.

i cant believe they totalled that...my friend needed 13k done to his 05 sti to get it back to mint and his was about 2x worst than that....guess it just depends on the ins.
