Well it's still worth looking at the vehicle history in any way you can...I wouldn't use carfax as a 100% basis on buying the car

The realities are-- you already put a down-payment on the car, so our advice/thoughts/theories/beliefs are of limited value now. Sort of like closing the barn door after the horse has run out.

A very good inspection however-- one, for example, where they even check compression in each chamber, may well be worth it. If there is any compromise in the engine, it tells you something and also becomes a dickering point since you've not outright bought the car yet. You can also play amateur shrink and ask harmless but revealing questions: "So, how fast is she? Ever race her or put her on the track? How did she do?" These are bragging rights for any racer, but are more importantly questions that tell you how the car was used. If the guy doesn't know or has never raced her, you have some information now. You can also look at the brake pedals, for example. A well worn pedal, with this mileage, indicates heavy use-- a red flag to me. So, just be smart and use common sense.

Good luck- you've gotten good advice from several guys here.

ohh, sorry kinda answered that wrong, for me it was the whole unit, because when whenever somthing with the bose system goes wrong, the take in out and send it to bose, but other than that im not sure.
