Congrats on the new car. Personally other then the looks I dont really like my car. I dont like the way it shifts even with a new clutch and flywheel, there is lots of road noise and everything is expensive as ****, brakes ,tires etc... Great looking car tho.

yea i hear ya there...my road noise is very quiet though...shifting is rough too and it worries me everytime i drive my car.....2nd gear is like the worst right now but ill see if it gets better after i get some new fluid in it and its not 10degrees outside...and i think i need a rear alignment too...but looks wise i love it and it gets looks everywhere i go...im just really paranoid about it lol...i was thinking about going to cottaman transmissions to have them take a look at it and see if i needed any new syncros or anything. I just hate how rough it can be sometimes and thats the only reason why id have it looked at...next mod though is probably going to be the topspeed exhaust after my alpine flip out

I had my tranny fluid changed and a new clutch and flywheel replaced last week. I have noticed if the tranny is cold it shifts like ****, after it warms up it shifts better but not as good as a sports car should shift. I think its ****ed up that a 40000 car has this many problems. I have never had a problem with a manual transmission like this. I would never buy another G, this seems to be a common problem along with many others. If I wasnt so upside down I would trade this bitch in.

Sounds like you bought it for looks (as do most of us) and then discovered an inheritance of brake problems and tranny issues-- hopefully this is where it ends. The Coupe is generally driven hard by owners and then sold as they begin to spot the nickel and dime **** falling apart. This is what we do with our competition race bikes (the kind you pedal) after 1-2 years of competition. The bike looks beautiful (and new may sell for >$4K), the components are worn out and can cost >$1500 to replace on the high end ones. Good luck!!!.
