It's worth it if you can drive around town like that and don't mind the extra hassles of driving a very low car.

just drop it by 1.5" or buy some coilovers so when its winter time you can jack it up. Also get the lifetime alignment at firestone so everytime you lower it or jack it up you get alignments for free

speedbumps suck, dips suck, drive ways suck everything sucks when your slammed. you just gotta get used to doing extra work mostly learning how to angle your car at a bump. but like shaneg said safety first.

Being lowered has its advantages and disadvantages. It looks nice but like you were saying, if it snows that much, you will most likely scratch your bumper a few times, especially if there is a dip being covered by snow that you can't see. Thats just my opinion though. I speak through expereince because just about every car I've owned was slammed.

i'm in cali but i've been to chicago over 10 times now for work and i could not imagine driving my G through downtown even if it wasn't dropped! man, i thought LA roads were bad. your downtown is awful.

like everyone said, even w/ a mild drop you'll have to be careful w/ the roads, driveways, etc. i hate subterranean parking b/c my car always scrapes; think ypipe and midpipe area. you'll also have to drive slow around town looking carefully at the road ahead. people behind you will get pissed but oh well! haha gl
