Everyone is gonna post about the problems, no one is gonna post about how they dont have any.

Gs are very reliable and problem free for the most part. Youll probably have to deal with the window motor dying though.

It's not the common, but still the problem you are most likely to have. From what I read on here, it varies but it seems to go at about 70,000 miles on an average. Of course theres a big chance that it wont happen too.

The G is a GREAT car. The problems you hear are on par with or below other manufacturers. Issues I have had with my car have been handled professionally by my dealership. Also, I get a free loaner car when I get it serviced. I absolutely love my G35! Clutch wearing out early? I agree with the last guy about some of the people not knowing how to properly drive their 6MT. Window motor for $200? Shop around, you'll find a better deal online somewhere. Just make sure you get one that has been taken care of. Any car that hasn't been maintained properly is bound to have issues.

My car is almost at 70K miles and aside from a routine brake job and new tires, the only thing "wrong" was a bad antenna. I wouldn't call that problematic....

Compare to the problems on my Passat that I got rid of after 1 year--Trans solenoid, tie rods, electrical quirks on all the windows, strut mounts, brake master cylinder...And in the shop 3-4 days at a time for these things. No thanks. I'd rather have my G.

Have a competent mechanic do a good inspection, shouldn't cost more than 150-200 tops, and if the person/dealer does not agree to let you do it, walk or run away.

I love my g! No problems so far other than your normal wear and tear. My d/s window motor is starting to act up @ 28k, other than that the g is the shyte!

I haven't had any major problems with my G. I just had the window thing happen about a year after I had the car. A few small things, but nothing warranty didn't cover. I beat the crap out of my car daily and it continues to deliver
