It's never even come to mind to tip in the many years I've taken my cars into dealerships, but then again my one experience so far with the Glendale Infiniti dealership was horrible.
I think I'll be looking for a Nissan certified garage to perform my 30k service instead of going to the over priced stealership.

I think the whole philosophy behind when it's appropriate to tip has really gotten out of hand. I tip for auto detailing, restaurants (where I actually sit down and am served) maid service, where I feel that a service is being rendered, but really, if I go to any one of the local fast food or coffee shops and they have a tip jar out, really, wtf? I'm expected to tip you because you just made me a burrito or a coffee?
Ludicrous.

I only tip when they serve lattes, coffee and fresh bagels and lox while I wait for them to finish my car.

I bet you know how many tips there were!!!
