Wsup everyone. Well I recently purchased a Brand New Viper 5501 Alarm. A shop that I went to is charging me $500 for the install just because the G is a stick shift. They also said the reason why they're charging that much is because all the modules they need to buy?

Am I getting ripped off? Or does $500 sound right?

i got that alarm, 250 installed, although he gave me a discount but i didnt know how much discount.

 

Try another shop.

Or ask for a quote on the additional modules and labor charges.

 

Try a different shop I can understand the extras but 500 bucks sounds a little steap

Too high.. Friend of mine got the latest model for $350 installed..

 

I got quoted $400 at a highly recommended shop. It was a Viper, don't remember which model.

 

i got my viper remote starter installed for 175 and it needed a module and it worked wit the factory alarm dont remember which model tho
