Your opinion: New G35 Coupe

I coudn't find any decent 2005 G35 coupes in my area (either too expensive or mileage was too high), so I expanded my search to VA-DC-MD area.

I found this car and sounds like a good deal to me. What you guys think
2005 G35 Coupe - 22595K miles, Aero Package

I might drive down to the area on the weekend and test drive it. Has anyone bought from this dealership? Since, this dealership is far from my house, I can't get the car checked by my mechanic.

Here is another one: Another G35 Coupe

What you guys think? This is my first time buying a car.

Thanks VA 04 g35.

Regarding the oil consumption problem with G's, is that covered under basic 4 yr/60,000 mile warranty or 6yr/70,000 mile power train warranty?

I don't know if this car still has warranty left or not. CARFAX report says it was manufactured 10/2004 and first owner was reported on 07/2005. So when does the warranty kicks in?

They want 18 for that 05... that's a bit too much imo.

I'd say pay the extra 2-3k and get yourself into an 07, and not worry about OC issues.

Too high. Get it dropped several thousands especially with the way the car market is now.

Coupes are a touchy car to buy used since many (not most or all) owners tend to run them pretty hard. I often see coupe owners (not just for the G, but other coupes) in town or when I travel, throttling their car, racing from light to light, speeding around corners and generally pushing their cars. I'm not saying don't get it, but am suggesting that you have a good mechanic look at it very carefully. Have them perform a compression test, for example, to test for internal engine malfunctions such as bad valves, piston rings or excessive carbon buildup-- all of which can be detected before they cause irreparable damage.

Thanks everyone for your input.

$18,769 for that coupe is too high? That's the cheapest I have found.

Yea, no doubt. They sounds like a steal for an 05

I'm looking at 04/03s for about 16 17 with just under 100kms (60 miles)

Engine is covered under power train. Could be wrong, but thought power train was 5yr/70K. Don't quote me on that. My extended is 7yr/100K, that I do know...
