yeah. I used to own a Z. Before I did all my do-dads to it, it wasn't a HUGE jump from the G unless you're on a track a lot. But, if you're at the track a lot, I wouldn't have the Z as your benchmark. You're shooting yourself short.

If you wanna handle like the Z, you'll have to reduce your wieght as well as upgrade your suspension. Sways and coils COULD bring you up to Z standards if you get the right set. But you'll still be heavier. So, you'll probably end up with a crappy DD ride to get to the Z or better.

Word, hey, it's not just me who thinks the G35 is a better car overall than the Z! :P

2:22 - the suspension is better than a Z's

4:50 - a better car than the Z

And if you want the best handling, buy an STi for around the same price. But again, it's all up to the driver who will win in such a race.

So you are actually being serious about this thread?

Ofcourse the 350Z handles better. It's lighter and has a shorter wheel base. There no question about it. It's not really something that's subject to debate.

In the other hand, the G35 almost handles as good. But at the end of the day, its still heavier and has a longer wheel base.

The 2005-2007 G35 Coupes with the sport suspension has the same spring rates as the Z. The only difference is about 150 lbs in weight and a shorter wheel base. Again, not a huge difference, but the Z will be a little more nimble.

Also, something to note is the fact that the Z has much stiffer spring rates than the Sedans. So when ever you hear someone complaining about how stiff it is, it's most likely coming from a sedan owner. My stock 06 Coupe 6MT was as "stiff" as the Z I test drove.

Since they aren't ages apart, a simple modification can always fix that issue for anyone.

You would think it would be common sense to assume that the sports car will have an edge on the luxury "sports" car (though its not a big difference)

My friend's 84 sentra is also lighter and has a shorter wheelbase than a Z.

Ergo it has superior handles?

Were it to have the same suspension set-up, then yes. Given that it doesn't, then no. But you knew that didn't you? Yeah. You knew that.
