Unhappy Problem with Car need help. GRINDING NOISE!

ITs been a while since i herd the noise but i realized where the sound is comming from.

I continue To hear the "Grinding noise" once i turn on the car.
When i put the clutch in the noise is gone. and when i take it out it comes back again.

Any ideas of what it could be becuase imstarting to feel a diffrence in my clutch.

I know its the clutch but how should i fix the problem?

I want to make sure I understand what you discribed above. Do you hear the sound when the car hasn't been cranked? I ask this because of the wording of this scentence:

"I continue To hear the "Grinding noise" once i turn on the car."

Sounds like your clutch is ****ed. Go to the dealer if you still have warranty.

Could be: Clutch, Throwout Bearing or pressure plate. Anyway you slice it... clutch time.

Bad throwout bearing it sounds like. Replace all three (clutch, pressure plate and bearing). Not really a major job.

Having received an email from the original poster the sound is actually present when the pedal is released but it goes away when the pedal is depressed. Though this could be relative to a TOB, it is also possible that the car has a lightened flywheel, or even a stock dual-mass flywheel that is no longer working properly. That being said, and considering that none of these things can be properly addressed from outside the transmission, it is time to drop the trans and let ue know what you find.

If this were a plate or even a disc issue he would normally see slippage or even an inability to shift...but he would not normally have a sound with the pedal depressed.

Nasty, let me know what you find and I will be happy assist you further. Thanks!

Also, our clutches have a tendency to make noise when the car is idling in neutral without the clutch pedal pressed. You can her it more if you have your windows down and you are costing by a wall. Make sure it's more than just this.

What Kind of Clutch and flywheel did you get...?

Im looking around for a OEM on ebay. but Aftermarket is Cheaper. PPL what do you think would go best for regular driving and some highspeeds on freeway.
