Has anyone found the DIY to prevent the corners from getting jacked?

Well, there's always a first for everything. Had them on for 3 months. Thought they looked good at first but in the end i put the stockers back on. I had the clear, smoked versions on my Black car. Just wasn't feeling them i guess

I was feeling them because I don't have ANYTHING ORANGE ON THE CAR. It looked so clean...

But now I'm only modding things that can be bolted to the car, and it's getting expensive (IE: Bumpers, hood, engine parts, wheels, etc). Thinking about ordering a set of Enkei wheels, + tires and it's coming out to over $2,500. Might just make a trip to a local wheel shop.

Here’s the one I was referring to earlier in this thread… it looks like the pics are gone, but instructions are still there:

this is the search I ran – you might find more anti-theft ideas in some of these threads:

I agree with the majority of the comments - Orange looks very weird to me... clear is okay, smoked is good, I have body color now (and an extra set of smoked).

So I got a quote to fix the wiring. I looked at it and it's pretty much shredded. A shop is going to charge me 80 and redo the wiring and plug. I called the dealer and they said special order 3 weeks and 29 each. BS i tell you.

I think we should hook it to a shock system or a flame thrower. After the first person tried, i don't think they will want to again!!

For the security measures: It's been said many times, people (including me) would rather have them simply take it off without any major damage, then try and either rip my bumper apart, or key/dent my car because they can't get it.

As for the solutions to this, just stick with the OEM Amber, no one wants them, and rarely does anyone steals them. Either that or just get a bumper without the side light.

I really like that body colored idea, how did you do it so that the light still shines through?

I had body shop "dust" mine with body color... it didn’t take a real heavy coat to look decent and the light shines through no different than any smoked lenses - in fact, its the same paint concept, just body color instead of black.

Heres a pic (I dont have pic with lights on, but I assure you its totally visible).

Loc Tite, the blue kind. Its meant to be used on threads but will create a very strong hold. red is for threads that are meant to be removed but blue is meant for threads that are not meant to come back out ever. Some blue Loc Tite along the edges of the corners and they should be in there for life.

From Loctite:

Blue: Can be removed with hand tools
Red: Apply heat to remove
Green: Apply heat to remove

Therefore RED creates the stronger bond.

However, I don't know if I would recommend it on paint...

That's kinda why i like them.

I drive around with my parking lights on all the time...esp dusk. So i was getting annoyed with the fact that the clear corner did not light up evenly with an orange bulb (even tried LED). So to me it didn't match the front turn signals amber.

That's why i put the orange ones back on. I like the look of amber parking lights on a black car at night. Both my cars are black, and i kept the lights amber for this reason.
