Like the title states, how many of you have traded up to go from an 03-04 coupe to an 05-07 coupe?

Just wondering because i'm contemplating going from an 04 to on 06-07.

 

Ive thought about it, but with the mods, time and attachment, there's no way I'd ditch it for anything less than a G37.

 

True, but since you're essentially getting the same car again, you could sell stock and transfer the parts. That’s what I was thinking, everything on mine would transfer except the Vortech.

 

I've already decided i would buy a newer G37x sedan when the time comes....either than or an M45/50x

 

im thinking M45 or M3 but i hate 2doors

just keep your car and spend the money on upgrading your interior other than that theirs no difference since your your modded.

if you do trade up sell my your 06 headlights...

I traded up, my 03 coupe for a new G37S. No contest.

More looks, more power, more everything.

 

Well, the point is I have a 5AT right now. Now I want a 6MT, and might as well get the nicer interior while i'm at it.

 

That's different then. I say go for it. 6-spd and nice interior.

Downside is you don't get the nice brakes, but they can be added

 

Well fortunately I didn't have the nice brakes to begin with because AT's don't come with them.

 

well, long story short.. i had a 04, then 2 weeks later it was gone.. i recently decided to get back into a G again and looked at the G37.. sporty, technology.. but interior was smaller than the G35.. the seats were also tight and i am not a large person.. and by tight, i dont mean snug/or fit... anyhow.. i decided i enjoyed the less powerful yet roomier interior of the g35 and i still love the way it looks .. the G37 is def sexy but i feel a certian uniqueness to the G35... Athens Blue 05 /black 6mt .. - love it

 

I would wait about a year or so and buy a G37 when they are selling for that the 07 are now.

A year seems like a lot when your driving auto and want to be driving stick

 

I thought about it, but I don't think there's enough of a difference to justify spending that amount of money on a car that's so similar. My '03 G35 is still very enjoyable to drive and I'd rather keep the $10k+ the tradeup would cost for more worthwhile things.
