Sad News...very dissapointed.

some of you may know that i was going to pick up my new G yesturday, the 26th. I had been dealing with a company in Orlando that was a whole seller and it turned out that it was to good to be true. As I inspecte the vehicle it was clear that it was in a major accident. The ENTIRE car was repainted as I could see the paint lines that were obviously not OEM. The Top of the roof was repainted and they tried to conceal the line it with weather striping. The welds were also mismatched and deffinetly not OEM on the roof in the lining of the rain gutters. Then i checked the vin numbers in the doors and there was NO VIN NUMBERS!! indicating that the vehicle was in fact in a crash and had to replace the entire side. The dealer said "I disclosed everything in the car fax" which didnt state that it was in a accident. His description instead was that it was NEW and Immaculate with no scratches no wheel curb rash, no dings. The car wsa full of scratches, dings and paint blemishes. I happend to find out that right behind the dealer was a body shop and im guessing that he payed this guy to do a half *** job. In a nut shell, this guys was minipulative and a lier and provided false information obout the car and its condition. I was very disappointed especially after driving three hours to get it. So now I am getting a 2007 instead that is Obsidian BLK 6MT. I guess I am going to end up with a better car and wont have to travel 3 hours to get it! The funny thing is I bought all my parts for this car already, but I will be fine as the new one is also an Up-Rev....Im picking up the car tonight... I shall update later.. Thanks all, and remember "if it is to good to be true it probablty is"...

no I didnt take any pictures but if i did it wouldnt of mattered because he posted 70 pictures online on his website. You couldnt see that it was messed up but here is the link so that everyone can see it and that NO ONE makes the same mistake or wastes their time.

the best indicator of a respray in those pics is the one of the trunk. you can see that the jam has been sprayed body color. our cars from the factory are a matte grey finish in that area. as well as the fenders(not visible in those pics however)

best of luck with your 06 purchase though!

^I know. I checked the website and they didnt even have it for sale any more... i guess it was officially sold. poor person....whom ever bought it. In other news, I officially purchased an 2007 g35 DG 6MT loaded with NAVI. I reveived all my parts and they should all be installed by next week. I think i am the first with the Invidia q300 true dual... only reason why im saying is because it has only been out for a couple months and i couldnt find any sound clips online and or on youtube. really nice exhaust and beautiful welds.

Great job on the inspection. I work at a body shop and i've seen people do things like that and buy salvaged wrecked cars from under the insurance companies to fix so there wasn't any records of it being repaired. By the looks of the fitment of the lights and color matching of the bumpers, and the dead giveaway of the missing vin labels on the panels, it has some major repairs done to it.

Glad you got a new G picked out easily, sometimes it's hard to find one in the type/color which you'd like.

I kinda doubt you'd be the first person to have a specific exhaust when it has been out for a few months, especially since they probably sponsor cars who got the exhaust for free before it was even for sale
