Spoiler chips. . .
Spoiler chips. . .
I've got some chips out of my spoiler. . .if you can even call them that. They look more like someone took a hack saw to it. All I can think of is that someone mounted a bike rack or something to the car and the metal left these two spots. They're poorly painted over with the wrong color touch up paint.
So the question. They're deep enough that they'd need to be filled with something. I want to "prep" them before i get the car detailed. Is there anything i can fill them with myself. . .and then buy Desert Platinum touch up paint and fill the rest, bubble it over a bit. . .and then my detailer can smooth it out?
Suggestions?
EDIT:
Should also add that there are two of them. . .right next to eachother. . .only about 1/2" long and on the back EDGE of the spoiler. So there'd be a minor amount of shaping involved (i'd imagine).

Hmm... touch up paint is incredibly hard to use and be satisfied with the results. I recommend that you contact a professional paint/autobody shop to have the spoiler repainted. This will save you from all the heartaches and emotional factors that come along with a failed attempt. Good luck!
it's not just the paint that's the issue. there are actual gouges through the paint and into the spoiler itself. i'm not ready to spend $500+ to fix it. i'm ok with two slightly "you have to be 2' away to see it' discolored spots. It's the gouges that bother me.
thanks!
