I have driven stick all my life, on track and in my daily drivers. Ignore the MT-bores who prattle on about real cars having MT's, and all that guff, as most of them haven't ever driven their car to anywhere near the limit. I got an auto due to the fact my knee and ankle give me more grief than they should, but that does not mean you can't go for a hoon. It just takes a bit of getting used to with regards to the manual shifter.

The funny thing is that 90% of cars in the Uk are stick shift, so all this silly bravado because you an drive a shifter really is absurd. My nan drives a shifter, as does my mum... I think some folks had best stop worrying about the hair on their chests.

It is most common on ReV up 6MTs (rev up are 05+ and only come in 6mt) but pre rev ups have had it but only a handful at most.

What happens is that the Rubber oil rings on the pistons are to thin and oil passes threw to the chamber and gets burned up. Causing it to starve the engine of oil.

Infiniti replaces the engine if its still under warranty and after an Oil Consumtion test.

I have yet to hear about any autos with this problem, but a VQ is a VQ and it could happen.

bermbos come only with the 6mts 03 or 04, go with an auto 05+ for better interior, lower miles. Shoot if you can find an 06 then you get projectos, smartkey, and better tail lights

but ey if i where you id still go with the 6mt if you could get it

im glad i bought my car in auto call me a ***** if u want but im a daily driver commute 60+ miles roundtrip and its a bitch to drive in mt while in traffic, and plus if u want some fun u can always use the triptronic shifter (watch this video)
so disregard what u heard from other people about having auto on a sport car, because at the end which ever choice you make be glad you own a g35 :P

im only about 5 miles away from my job which takes me about 13 or minutes with traffic to get there so its not bad at all. that was a nice vid btw, i like the way it sounds when you accelerate hard. im stoked about this weekend man, cant wait!
