Rear brake question
So I replaced my rear rotors and pads since they were shot until I get a performance kit (waiting until I get back from vacation). I noticed the rotors that the auto parts store gave me had the same diameter on the drum/ebrake side, and the wheel studs matched up, but the rotor is about a half inch smaller and the pads hang off of it. Anyone ever seen this before? I'm not sure why the part the catalog called for would be smaller in total diameter. I dont have the brembo setup, or at least i dont think i do... plus if i did, dont the calipers note that?

I have an 05 coupe as well. Mine is the Sport Suspension Package.
Changing my brake set-up (F&R) was a PIA. The rotors were pretty straight forward by ordering a Stoptech stage 2 kit but the pads tooks for ever to match. Had to make 3-4 purchase & returns before I got the correct parts for the fronts. That's because (I'm told by the dealership) half the 05's Sports Suspension have the 03-04 non-brembo front brake set-up and the other half has the 06-07 set-up.
In the end, I took the pads off, drew the outline on a piece of paper and measured to the millimeter & compared to technical drawings of the manufacturer's (Hawks in my case) to get the exact part number.
I would suggest doing the same thing with your rotors. Measure the total diameter and try to compare it to the product descriptions. Or like they said, just bring it to your seller. If buying remotely, call and ask them to verify the actual diameter. You might have better luck talking to a person than just an online order.
