Smart key? What is it?

There are many "useless" features on a car, like power windows, power locks, hell, any kind of remote is more or less useless. But that doesn't mean they aren't convenient. I think the I-Key is very convenient. I like the fact that I never have to touch my keys to drive my car. Not opening the trunk is a pretty minor complaint, and has nothing to do with the I-Key. The regular remote doesn't open it either.

I'm not sure what your point is. I bought this car because I like how it performs, how it looks, it's reliability, etc.
Just in case your reading comprehension is lacking, I was responding to Nav E's comment that the I-Key was somewhat useless, mostly because it doesn't open the trunk. The I-Key has many useful features, but calling it somewhat useless because it doesn't do something the car itself is incapable of doing is a bit misleading. Using that definition, then power windows are useless because the windows don't auto tint darker when it's bright outside. Power locks are useless because I have to push a button twice to unlock all the doors. And of course the regular remote is useless because it can't open the trunk either, it just unlocks it. You see, I'm ignoring the features and conveniences something does have in favor of features it doesn't have. Understand now?
BTW Nav E, none of this was directed at you. I really like the I-Key and I too would like the trunk to pop open. My Maxima would pop open, but over time the trunk shock dealies got worn out and didn't have enough juice to get the job done. Hell, I'd be happy if the G trunk would just pop open a few inches. It hugs the bumper pretty good even after it's unlocked.

Okay, I probably could have found better words than "somewhat useless." It's really not useless...like I said, I really like it. I'm a 'gadget' person, so the more bells and whistles, the better. IK is really cool, and I didn't even know my car had it until the sales lady gave me the key. She walked me through how it worked, and I thought this **** was cool! The IK and Bluetooth are the two things I think are the coolest about this car.

I like it. It's one of the reasons i bought my car.
Granted, i like the smart key setup on my Lexus better. To open the door, you just pull the handle once and it unlocks. Searching for the little black button when your hands are full on an all black car does get a little tricky.
But I LOVE not having to take the keys out of my pocket. Usually when i head to the beach to jog i clip the I-key to my chain aound my neck (but under my shirt) when i don't want anything in my pockets. It's light so I go the whole day before i realize my key is around my neck.
It's a new fashion statement
