HElP!1

So this morning im driving to campus, im on the highway cruising in 6th gear and there's a long on-ramp coming up so i decide to give it a bit more to see what the acceleration is like. But when i did my RPMS shot from 2.3K to a little over 4.....so i let off the gas right away cuz i know its not supposed to do that and my whole car winds up smelling like burnt clutch really bad.

Does anyone know of a problem like this???

Im gunna call infiniti and have the clutch replaced under warranty but im just curious if anyone knows of this kind of thing happening?

hmm its a wear and tear item, but that depends how cool your dealership is and how good you fight for your warranty...

most likely they will charge you over 2k+

and say its your fault by finding something to prove that it has been abused even if its a little.

Well is the clutch slipping or doing anything weird?

If they don't do it under warranty and it's not causing problems I'd just wait then upgrade to a nicer one

No theres no slipping when i shift gears...it only happens when i step on it even just the slightest bit...it happens in 3 - 6 where the rpms shoot up a bunch stay there and then drop down again...

Im about to call Inifniti of Scottsdale and ask for a warranty clutch replacement. ill let u guys know what they say.
